Our Story
It's more than a car show. It is a benefit for many children and their families. This playground benefits UCP's Peachtree Program for pre-school children. This group meets at our church year round. Child Evangelism Fellowship's School Good News club meets at the church. There are 48 children from kindergarten through 2nd grade from the Falling Spring Elementary School. Camp Joy-El Released Time Bible Program uses our church. We have 71 students from 3rd through 5th grade from the Falling Spring Elementary School. These school students will have access to the playground at various times by having special events at the church that include the children of the church families.
I hope you will bring your family to our next car show. The date of each annual car show is the 2nd Saturday of September. Many children's activities are included in each car show. September 12, 2020 is the date of the next Grace Community Car Show.

A word from John Bayer Jr:
Why a car show? Why not? Pastor John's dad, John Bayer, Sr. (picture 1), had a body shop, which Pastor John discovered in 1956 at the age of 3. Pastor John looked for every opportunity to play in the body shop. Saturdays were the best days to spend a lot of time with his dad.
Pastor John's very first car came at an early age. It was a pedal driven car. See picture 2. Behind him is a 1955 Chevy that his dad had painted for a customer. Needless to say that was the beginning of Pastor John's love for cars. He had a lot of fun with that car during those early years riding it, pretending to work on it right beside his dad who was working on another customer's vehicle. Dad and son were inseparable.
I encourage you to become involved in helping with this annual event, showing a vehicle, or becoming a vendor.
